Udu PDP Empowers Over 80 Persons In Phase 2 Of Its Empowerment Scheme.

As a way of rewarding hardwork at the grassroot, the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Udu Local Government area of Delta State has continued with its empowerment program as they empowered over eighty (80) persons in wards 5-8 with cash package of twenty-five (25) thousand naira each to support their businesses and other entrepreneurial enterprises.

Speaking at the various wards, the Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in Udu Hon. David Siloko (JP) revealed that the empowerment was designed in line with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s vision of ‘Stronger Delta Agenda’ to empower and engage Deltans, particularly PDP faithful who have worked and have been supporting the party during and after elections, thanked Delta State Political Appointees of Udu origin including Hon. Chief Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor, Member representing Udu Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Hon. Jite Brown JP, Hon. Chief Henry Sakpra Commissioner for Special Duties, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode DESOPADEC Commissioner and others for their monthly contributions which was used for the empowerment. He called on other Appointees who are yet to pay to do the needful inorder for other wards to benefit. At the various wards visited Siloko called on all and sundry to join the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) because APC as a Political party has brought untold hardship to Nigerians and it is a party built on lies and propaganda.

On his part, the Chairman of the empowerment Committee Hon. Raymond Edijala advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash empowerment given to them for a sustainable business entrepreneurship because the importance of self reliance cannot be overemphasized. The beneficiaries and the Party Chairmen of wards 5- 8 lauded the Hon. David Siloko led administration for the program which is aimed at moving the party to greater heights.
In same vein the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council Hon. Chief Jite Brown during the event complimented the empowerment Committee by empowering 5 persons each in the 4 wards which amounted to four thousand naira(#400,000) as the member representing Udu Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly Hon. Chief Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor also appreciated members of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in wads 5-8 financially for their efforts which led to his emergence in the 2019 general elections.
